The main withdrawal and refund rules at a glance.
The main withdrawal and refund rules at a glance.
For clarity, this refund policy is divided into numbered sections, so it is easier to return to a specific rule related to withdrawal, settlement or refunds.
This Policy sets out the rules for exercising the right of withdrawal, settling services started before the statutory withdrawal period expires and the cases in which the client may be entitled to a refund. This document should be read together with the Ease of Travel Terms of Service.
The service provider is CHMIEL SERVICES, a sole proprietorship registered in Norway under organisation number 934654838, providing services under the Ease of Travel brand. Business and correspondence address, including complaints and withdrawal: Kristins vei 38, 0669 Oslo, Norway. Email: contact.easeoftravel@gmail.com.
A consumer may withdraw from a distance contract without giving a reason within 14 days from the date it is concluded. Our preferred contact method is email: contact.easeoftravel@gmail.com. This is the fastest way to receive your statement for handling, without waiting for postal delivery; no additional paper copy is needed. You may also use postal mail. Sending a clear statement before the deadline is sufficient. The model in section 11 may be used, but is optional. Failure to provide the required withdrawal information may extend the period as provided by law.
If a consumer expressly requests an early start and then withdraws, settlement may cover only an amount proportionate to the services performed until the statement is received. This requires prior provision of the statutory information, including withdrawal rights and this payment obligation. Where these conditions are not met, the consumer does not bear the cost of early performance to the extent provided by law. Accepting the Terms alone does not replace an express request. The amount must reflect the part performed in relation to the agreed total price, in accordance with applicable law. The provider will explain the work performed and the calculation; the full price is not automatically retained merely because work has started.
The right of withdrawal may expire after full performance only where the statutory conditions are met, including prior express consent to an early start and express acknowledgement that the right will be lost after full performance. Full performance covers the entire agreed scope, including support after delivery of the plan where ordered. Receiving a PDF alone does not automatically complete the service.
The first payment covers analysis of the request, clarification of the client’s needs and preparation of an individual quote. Paying for the analysis does not order every part of the trip or accept the later price for the work. The scope of further work and its price require separate acceptance. A request to start the analysis early is not automatically a request for an early start under a separate contract for the planning work. On withdrawal, this stage is settled under sections 4 and 5; describing it as an initial payment does not automatically make it non-refundable.
If Ease of Travel misses the declared first-contact deadline, the Priority Service fee will be refunded. This additional refund concerns that fee, but does not limit statutory withdrawal rights, complaint remedies or other refunds due. Other payments are settled under the applicable law and contract terms.
For separately sold, paid digital content not supplied on a tangible medium, loss of the right of withdrawal when supply begins requires the consumer’s prior express consent, express acknowledgement of losing the right, and the required confirmation of the contract and consent on a durable medium, such as email. Individual travel planning follows the rules for services even when the plan is a PDF file. This does not exclude rights concerning non-conformity with the contract.
For withdrawal, complaints and refund requests, please use email as your first choice.
9.1Preferred contact — email
9.2Why email?
Email lets us receive the matter for handling without waiting for postal delivery. No additional paper copy is needed.
9.3What to include in your message
To identify the contract, it is helpful to provide your full name, order email, contract date and service name or order number. No reason for withdrawal is required.
9.4Refund settlement
A payment due back following statutory withdrawal will be refunded without undue delay and no later than 14 days after receipt of the statement, taking account of a lawful settlement under section 4. The same payment method will be used unless the consumer expressly agrees otherwise, without additional fees for the refund. An electronic statement requires acknowledgement of receipt on a durable medium.
9.5Postal contact remains available
If you prefer, you may send a statement or complaint by post to the business address in section 2. Email is recommended, but is not a condition for a valid request and does not limit the client’s statutory rights.
Withdrawal and complaint remedies are separate rights. After the applicable withdrawal period ends or the right lawfully expires, a consumer may still pursue remedies for non-performance, defective performance or non-conformity with the contract under applicable law. There is no blanket rule of no refunds after 14 days. For B2B, cancellation and settlement terms are agreed individually, subject to mandatory law.
We prefer receiving the completed form by email at contact.easeoftravel@gmail.com, without an additional paper copy. Complete and send this form only if you wish to withdraw from the contract. You may instead send another unequivocal statement. No reason is required.
